What size PVC pipe is used for AC drain?

The drywell drain pipe shall be connected indirectly to the condensate drain pipe. The drywell drain pipe to be a minimum of 1-1/2” PVC or other approved pipe material shall be installed in accordance with the manufacturer’s installation instructions. How often should you clean your AC drain line?

To keep your drain line clean, flush it with solution every three months. Warm water can also be used. They shouldn’t use bleach as they can damage the plastic pipes as well as break down the cement joining the pipe to the wall. If you don’t have access to vinegar, you can use a mixture of vinegar and water to clean your PVC pipe.

Mix 1 part vinegar to 3 parts water in a spray bottle. Spray the inside of your pipe with the mixture and let it sit for a few minutes. Rinse it off with clean water and repeat the process until the water runs clear.
