The best place for a linear shower drain to be placed is at the shower door wall. The shower door wall should not be placed parallel to the linear drain as it creates an unsafe surface. If you have a large shower, you may want to consider placing a linear drain in front of it.
This will allow the water to flow through the drain and out the other side. If you don’t have enough space to do this, then you can place a shower curtain or curtain rod on top of a drain to provide additional drainage.
