To turn the gas cylinders on (to open gas cylinder valve), turn the valve handwheel anti-clockwise 2 or 3 turns (do not open hard against the stop). Turn the round valve handwheel on top of the cylinder clockwise until it snugs by hand to turn off the gas. The cylinder gas valve is located at the top left corner of each cylinder.
It is used to control the amount of gas that is allowed to flow into the cylinders. The valve can be opened or closed by turning the handle on the right hand side. To open or close this valve, you will need to turn it counter clock wise until it is fully closed.
If you do not have access to a wrench, it may be necessary to use a small screwdriver to loosen the screw that holds the piston in place. This will allow you to unscrew the cap and remove the fuel tank. Once the tank is removed, the valves will be easy to remove.

Can you clean a gas valve?

How do you loosen a stuck propane valve?
