Sprout released in 2020 must have water in the bowl (or reservoir) to work. If the pump is running without water in the water bowl, it may make a strange noise, as the pump is cycling air through the system. AeroGardens are designed to be water-tight, but they are not watertight to the point that they can’t be used as a water source.
They must be sealed to prevent water from leaking out of the container and into the surrounding area. This can be done by sealing the bottom of a container with a plastic bag, or by using an airtight sealer on the top. Airtight seals are more expensive than plastic bags, and they may be difficult to find in your local hardware store.

Should I trim the roots in my AeroGarden?

This will remove any dirt and dirt particles that may have accumulated on the surface of your sponge. If you are using a sponge that has been in the dishwasher, you may want to use a paper towel to wipe it down before rinsing it out.
Why is my AeroGarden growing algae?
Have you ever seen algae grow on your AeroGarden? Algae naturally occurs when light interacts with water. You will start to see the growth of the algae on the seeds and the surface of the seedlings if you have enough nitrogen and phosphorus and CO2 in your environment. If you see algae growing, you need to take a closer look at your seeds.
If the seeds are dark green or yellow, then you may have an algae problem. This can be a sign of anaerobic conditions, which are conditions in which the plant is not able to use the nutrients in its environment. In this case, it may be necessary to add a little bit of water to your plants to bring them back to a healthy state.
