A variety of other cards can be used to perform this trick. For example, you can Tribute your monster to activate the second effect of “Enemy Controller.” “Torrential Tribute” will destroy the monster, so you can Chain it to the activation of an Ignition Effect. You can also use your own monster as the target of a card effect.

Is Skill Drain unlimited?
To many players’ surprise, Skill Drain is being completely unlimited, having previous been limited to one copy. The effects of all face-up Effect Monsters on your opponent’s side of the field can be mitigated by paying 1000LP. Drain can also be used in conjunction with other cards that negate effects.
For example, if you have a monster with the effect “Negate the activation of a card by its own effect” in your Graveyard, then you can negate that card’s effect by paying 1000 LP. If you do so, the card will be negated, but you will not be able to activate it again until the end of your next turn.
Can you negate Skill Drain with a monster effect?
Drain negates all monster effects that apply/resolve on the field while that monster is face-up on the field. The effects that apply at the start of the Damage Step will not be affected by this.
Effects that resolve during the End Phase, such as the effect of a card that “If this card is destroyed by battle and sent to the Graveyard: You can Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower monster from your Deck, except “Dark Magician of Chaos” (Machine-Type/EARTH/Level 4/ATK 0/DEF 0).
Set a monster for the rest of this turn.” or the effects of cards that “Once per turn, during either player’s turn: This card gains 500 ATK and DEF until the end of your opponent’s next Standby Phase.” This does not apply to effects like “Monster Reborn” or “Spellbook of Secrets” that specifically state that they cannot be negated by this effect.
Does Skill Drain negate Timelord?
Originally posted by Vlada Cut: No because any Stardust or Star boss monster negates effect activation of a Timelord, not all of their effects, so Timelords are immune to destruction effect. I’m not sure what you mean by that, but I’m pretty sure it’s not the case.
I don’t think it would be possible to negate the effect of any of them, since they all have the same effect, which is to destroy all monsters on the field. The only thing I can think of that would negate their effect is if they were to be destroyed by a card effect or by an effect that “destroy this card if it is destroyed”, but that’s pretty much impossible to pull off.
If you want to try, you could try using a monster that can destroy itself, such as “Dark Magician Girl” or “Magician of Faith”. If that doesn’t work, then you can try to use something like “Dimensional Fissure”, which will destroy the opponent’s face-up monsters and send them to the Graveyard. That way, your opponent won’t be able to Special Summon any monsters from the Extra Deck, and you’ll have a clear path to victory.
Does Skill Drain negate masquerade?
The effect of all face up monsters on the field is wiped out by skill drain. The text of Masquerade is an effect that can be activated by your opponent if you pay 600LP. However, it is not a Continuous Trap Card, so it cannot be used as a Synchro Material. TCG, this card’s effect can only be applied to face-up monsters. GX, its effect is applied on the field.
Is change of heart banned?
The film change of heart was banned a year later. The spell allows a player to take control of one of their opponent’s monsters for a turn, which makes it a truly formidable card to have in your hand. The card was later reprinted in the Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D’s booster set, which was released in 2006.
